USCAA and PSUAC Men's Soccer Players of the week Penn State Hazleton
Penn State Hazleton Men's Soccer swept the awards for the
USCAA (United States Collegiate Athletic Association) and the PSUAC
(Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference) this week as
Sophomore Captain Michael Slodysko (Shamokin, PA) was awarded the
USCAA Player of the Week for his 3 goals and 2 assists from
midfield in Penn State Hazleton's three wins this past week.
Freshmen Goalkeeper Amanda Bakunas (Ridgefield, NJ) was named
the USCAA Goalkeeper of the Week, the first female player to be
named goalkeeper of the week for a men's team. Her play in
goal, which included three starts, sharing in the 10-0 shut out
over Penn State Schuylkill, and playing 180 minutes over the
weekend in Hazleton's 2-0 win over Penn State New Kensington and
3-0 win over Penn State Beaver, also got her named as the PSUAC
Men's Soccer Player of the Week.
