Bio

Palmer Steiner joins the ranks of Penn State Hazleton as Assistant Coach of Men's Soccer. A former three sport athlete at Millville Area High School, Steiner continued his passion for athletics throughout college, working his way up the chain at Misericordia University to become the starting goalkeeper, notching 37 saves and five wins in his senior campaign for the cougars. Steiner then went on to play semi-professional soccer for the Electric City Shock in Scranton, Pa. before accepting the invitation to join Nittany Lion soccer at Hazleton in the summer of 2016.

Steiner is excited to be a part of the Penn State family and brings a wealth of knowledge from his playing days to his new position with the men's soccer team. Steiner's philosophy stems from the defensive side of the ball and plans to build a strong defensive foundation in the backfield and goalkeeper positions.

Steiner credits his family's support and inspiration for his success hard work ethic. Off the field, Steiner is a part-time medical scribe and enjoys spending time outdoors.
