DuBois, Pa. - On Sunday afternoon the United States Collegiate Athletic Association held their annual baseball and softball awards banquet at the Dubois Country Club and earning a spot amongst the honorees was Hazleton sophomore Colin Stauffer (Hazleton, Pa.)

His ratio of 9.07 strikeouts per nine innings were the third best in the PSUAC and he allowed only six extra base hits to opponents all season. In that game, the right-hander struck out six and allowed just one run, allowing Hazleton to pull off a come from behind 2-1 victory.

Stuaffer was even more impressive at the plate totaling a .395 batting average with a team high 19 RBI and 22 runs scored. From March 24 to April 13 Stauffer hit safely in 12 straight games in which Stauffer drove in 15 runs. The sophomore picked up six multi-hit games over that stretch and scored a team-high 16 runs. Stauffer put up monster numbers in Hazleton's double-header at Penn State Scranton, going a combined 7-for-9 with nine RBI, earning player of the week honors in the PSUAC.
