Alex Cameron commits to Penn State Hazleton
Hazleton, Pa. - The Hazleton Nittany Lion baseball team welcomes Alex "Cam" Cameron to the 2021-22 lineup. Alex is a three-year varsity baseball player from Easton, Pa. where he played second and third base at Easton Area High School. Alex carried a .367 batting average during his senior season while helping the Red Rovers reach the 2021 District XI semi-finals.
"As a utility player in the tradition rich program at Easton High School, Alex made a huge contribution toward their playoff run this past season", state Head Coach Jeff Nietz. "His ability to play multiple position will be a great asset to Penn State Hazleton and we look forward to seeing him on the diamond."
In addition to his high school baseball career, Cameron was a four-year varsity wrestler at Easton Area High School and competes for the Rising Stars baseball team in the Lehigh Valley Area. Alex was drawn to Penn State Hazleton by the opportunity to compete right away and looks forward to helping the Lions capture a conference championship while pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice.
