HAZLETON, Pa. - Penn State Hazleton took their second straight loss, falling to NCAA Division III opponent King's College, 69-56, in a non-conference men's basketball game on Monday night.

Freshman Jacob Solano poured in 21 points to lead the Nittany Lions, who trailed 30-23 at halftime. Solano added three assists, while freshman teammate Jordan Singletary scored 10 points off the bench. In the end, 18 Hazleton turnovers led to 20 King's points, which thwarted any comeback effort.

Hazleton shot 41 percent from the field, but lost the battle on the boards, 32-27. Hazleton led by as many as four points in the first half, but couldn't hold on as King's made a run to close out the first half. King's extended their lead to as many as 17 with just over two minutes remaining in the game.

The Nittany Lions take a two day break before opening their conference season at Penn State Schuylkill on Thursday, November 20 at 8:15 p.m. The game will be played at Martz Hall in Pottsville, Pa.
