HAZLETON, Pa. - Despite placing four players in double figures, Penn State Hazleton fell 81-80 to Luzerne County Community College in a non-conference men's basketball game on Thursday night. The Nittany Lions (5-5, 3-2 PSUAC) attempt to sweep the season series from Luzerne, who they beat in the season opener, fell short in a thriller that was broadcast live on My Network TV, WQMY.

Junior Dwayne Vines (Brooklyn, NY) led the offense with 18 points and 15 rebounds, while freshman Jordan Singletary (Houston, Tx.) added his fifth double-double of the season with 17 points and 17 boards. Sophomore Tyreek Fairfax (Philadelphia, Pa.) pitched in 16 points, eight rebounds and three assists, while freshman Jacob Solano scored 14 points and dished out three assists.

Hazleton shot 42 percent from the field, but struggled from behind the arc, going 3-for-15.

The Nittany Lions return to the floor on Friday, December 12 at 6:00 p.m. when they travel to Penn State Wilkes-Barre. The game is the make-up date for a game originally scheduled to be played on Tuesday, December 9.
