Two Hazleton Men's Basketball Players received honors from the Penn State University Athletic Conference on Thursday for their outstanding play in the 2014-15 season. Freshman Jacob Solano (Bethlehem, PA) was named Second Team All-Conference and teammate, Freshman Jordan Singletary (Houston, TX) was given honorable mention.
Jacob Solano – The freshman guard took control of the Hazleton offense from day one averaging 21.3 points per game to lead Hazleton and rank 4th overall in the conference. Solana eclipsed the 20 point mark in 13 of his 20 games this season and scored a season high 37 points on January 21 against Penn State Worthington Scranton.
Jordan Singletary – The freshman forward earned his way into the lineup to become Hazleton's second leading scorer, top rebounder and shot-blocker. Singletary averaged 9.5 rebounds per game ranking him 5th amongst PSUAC contenders and 3rd overall in field goal percentage at 61.2%. Singletary ranked 2nd overall in the PSAUC in shot-blocking with 49 total blocked shots.
