Markel Dillard joins the Nittany Lions

Hazleton, Pa. - Penn State Hazleton is pleased to welcome Markel Dillard for the 2020-21 basketball season. Dillard, is the son of John and Tyler Dillard from Leesburg, Va. And has two siblings. Markel graduated from Tuscarora High School where he was captain of the basketball team during his senior year and averaged 6.7 assists per game at the point guard position.

Dillard was an "All A" honor roll student at Tuscarora High School and plans to major in Marketing at Penn State. "I'm excited to join such a good school and athletic program," said Markel. "Academically I look forward to maintain a high grade point average and earning my degree and on the court, my goal is to win the PSUAC and make the USCAA tournament."
