Hazleton, Pa. - Shane Miller joins the Nittany Lion men's basketball program as the teams' newest power forward. Miller hails from Barnesville, Pa. where he attended Mahanoy Area Junior/Senior High School and was a starter during all four of his seasons with the Golden Bears. During that time, Miller grew to be a threat at both ends of the court and beyond the arc, leading his team in blocked shots and triples. He became captain of the team and scored his 1,000th career point during his senior season before turning his attention to the collegiate ranks.

Shane is the son of Brian and Jennifer Miller and has two siblings, Frank and Brian. Shane's brother Brian is a former member of the Hazleton Nittany Lion basketball team and along with the positive environment at the campus, played a big role in Shane's decision to attend Penn State Hazleton. Miller looks to contribute to the squad right out of the gate while excelling academically as he pursues a degree with the Physical Therapy Assistant program at the campus.
