Hazleton, Pa. - Paul Feisel of Slocum, Pa. adds his talents to the 2021-22 Hazleton Nittany Lion basketball squad. Feisel made his mark on the basketball court at Crestwood Area High School where the recent graduate played three years at the varsity level and co-captained the Comets.
As a shooting guard/small forward, Feisel led the Comets in three-point shooting in his final two season at Crestwood, earning a pair Wyoming Valley Conference All-Star selections and two consecutive league championships. In 2021, Feisel and the Comets elevated their game to capture the PIAA District II title, capping the senior's career on the hardwood with a gold medal.
In addition to his high school basketball career, Feisel competed with the Comets in football and adding another District title to his resume. Paul also competed in Amateur Athletic Union Basketball with the Luzerne County Lightning and the Wyoming Valley Barons.
While Feisel will enter the college ranks undecided in terms of academic course work, the first year student recognizes that the most important thing he can do at Penn State, is receive his degree. "Athletically I want to develop my game, make a positive impact on the program and be a leader for the team," stated Feisel. "Ultimately my focus will be on balancing school and basketball while earning my bachelor's degree so I can obtain success beyond college."
