Hazleton grabs 2nd place finish at White Course Invitational

State College, Pa. - In the squad's first action of the 2021 golf season at the Penn State White Course in State College, Pa., the Hazleton golf team posted posted solid numbers to finish in second place in the team event. Hazleton's top efforts combined for a team total of 322, ending the day nine shots behind Penn State York, who won the season opener with a team total of 313. Last year's PSUAC individual champion, Jeremy Harper (Mountain Top, Pa.) ended his front nine at just one shot over par but stalled out on the back nine to end the day at plus five and tied for fourth place individually. Rounding out Hazleton's scores were Joey Rebarchick (Hazle Township, Pa.) with a score of 80, Colin Hoy (Harleysville, Pa.) with an 82 and Will Long (Honesdale, Pa.) who posted an 83 at the Penn State White Course. Penn State York's Logan Snyder took home the individual medalist honors with a five under par round of 67, besting the field by eight shots.
