Bio

The Penn State Hazleton Nittany Lion golf team is coached by Jason Martonick, a class-A member of the Professional Golfers' Association of America since 2002. He is a graduate of Penn State, where he completed the Professional Golf Management Program(PGM) at University Park. He also completed the Golf Professional Training Program(GPTP) of the PGA of America.

Before coaching at Penn State Hazleton, Coach Martonick was a golf professional at Deal Golf & Country Club in New Jersey, Silver Spring Golf Club in Connecticut, and most recently at Sugarloaf Golf Club in Pennsylvania. 

Coach Martonick started the golf program at Penn State Hazleton in 2006, and has been with the program since its inception. The team had an unbeaten season in 2011, and won the PSUAC Championship. The banner and lion trophy are both on display in the Physical Education Bldg. 

Coach Martonick has had players go on to become members of the PGA of America and members of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America.
