HAZLETON, Pa. -- Davis College exacted a little bit of revenge on the Penn State Hazleton men's soccer team on Thursday night. Eight days after the Nittany Lions pulled off a 1-0 road win, Davis answered with a 2-0 win in a non-conference game between the USCAA opponents.

Hazleton (5-8-1, 3-5-1 PSUAC) couldn't get their offense going as Davis controlled the ball for a majority of the game. Davis outshot the Nittany Lions 16-6, including 10-3 in the first half. Joshua Curatolo got the Falcons on the board in the 37th minute, taking a punt from goalie Hugo Lemus and beating Logan Yacowatz (Sugarloaf, Pa.) for a 1-0 lead.

Yacowatz held Davis at bay for another 42 minutes, but Fernando DePaz beat him far side for a 2-0 Davis advantage. Yacowatz finished with eight saves. Despite getting seven of their eight shots on goal, Hazleton was unable to get by Lemus, who finished with seven saves. Davis also took nine corners, while Hazleton only attempted three, all in the first half.

The Nittany Lions wrap-up the regular season with a non-conference game on Saturday, October 18 at 1:00 p.m. Williamson Trade will visit Hazleton Field as the Nittany Lions await the conclusion of PSUAC play and their playoff fate.
