Venditti named All-American by USCAA

Senior Kyle Venditti's (Berwick, Pa.) appointment by the USCAA and it's voting members marks the third time in his illustrious career that the forward has been honored with All-American status. Venditti consistently ranked in the top five of the USCAA rankings in individual scoring, assists and total points throughout 2016 to earn his spot as just one of 14 individuals to be named to the conference's first team All-American squad.

The senior broke the campus' single-season scoring record with 25 goals in 2016, adding 13 assists, good for 61 total points on the year which were team highs in all three major scoring categories. Venditti helped lead the Nittany Lions to their first Penn State University Athletic Conference championship game appearance since the 2010 season tallying four hat-tricks along the way. On September 18 against Penn State New Kensington, the eventual fifth seed in the PSUAC playoffs, Venditti struck for three goals and an assist, including the game winning score to help the Lions secure the 5-4 road victory on the team's western swing. As the team reached the postseason, Venditti added three scores in the Lions' first two playoff games to help guide the team to the finals.

Venditti ends his student-athlete career at Penn State Hazleton as the first four year soccer player in program history, leaving his mark as the all-time leading scorer in campus history.
