Penn State Hazleton vs. Penn State New Kensington (L 1–12; 10/11/2025)
Hazleton showed grit on home turf against a formidable New Kensington side, breaking through late in the first half when Ian Barbini dribbled and fired for a clean solo finish at the 38:39 mark, getting the Lions on the board with a highlight moment. Keeper Thomas Yuppa put forth a tremendous effort in goal, stopping 14 shots while commanding the box against a barrage of 47 total attempts.
Barbini and Nuredin Gjoca each had a shot apiece—Barbini converting his for the lone Hazleton goal—while Hazleton earned two corners and forced eight fouls with an active midfield. Despite the scoreline, Yuppa's 14-save performance and Barbini's determined tally demonstrate the squad's continued fight and willingness to battle from start to finish against tough opposition.
