Hazleton, Pa. - Sophomore Katie Oldziejewski (Wilkes-Barre, Pa.) was named women's soccer player of the week by the Penn State University Athletic Conference on Tuesday. Oldziejewski led Hazleton to a pair of wins last week over the University of Valley Forge and Penn State Mont Alto. After registering an assist on Hazleton's first score of the game, Oldziejewski notched a second half hat-trick on Friday night as the Lady Lions surged past the Patriots, 7-1. The following day, Oldziejewski scored the game winning goal early in the second period as the Lions edged Mont Alto 2-1 for their second win of the weekend. To date, the sophomore leads the Lady Lions with a pair of hat-tricks this season and a team high 13 goals, becoming the first ever player of the week honoree in program history.
