Beiland garners PSUAC honors

Junior outside hitter Tina Beiland (Philadelphia, PA) was awarded a spot on the 2015 Penn State University Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball Honorable Mention list for her outstanding performance this season. Beiland was rewarded for her strong service game and play at the net, leading the Lady Lions in several statistical categories.
The junior led the Lady Lions in serving with 38 aces and topped all scorers for Hazleton with 97.5 points in 2015. The junior had multiple matches where she excelled including two wins at home. In a matchup against Penn State Schuylkill, Beiland recorded 23 total attacks as well as six kills while leading her team with four services aces in the 3-1 victory over Penn State Schuylkill. When Hazleton faced off with Penn State Lehigh Valley at home, the outside hitter led the team with six kills on 32 total attacks and tallied seven digs. Beiland had one of her best games this fall in a loss against Penn State Wilkes-Barre where the junior racked up five aces, six kills and 11 digs. Beiland stands poised for another great year in 2016 as she continues to be a leader on the court for Penn State Hazleton volleyball.
