Hazleton, Pa. - The Nittany Lions dropped to 1-6 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference with Sunday's home court loss to Penn State York. The visitors out-hit Hazleton 38-11 in kills on the afternoon and used 14 service aces to win three straights sets by scores of 25-13, 25-13 and 25-15 for their Eastern Division best seventh victory.

York's Jessica Dunbar led all scorers in the match with 13 kills on 31 attacks. Sadie Schantz added nine kills with teammate Whitney Smyth totaling 6 kills and a game high , six services aces.

In the loss, Hazleton's Kayla Nothstein (Palmerton, Pa.) earned 5 kills to lead the Lions. Caitlyn Williams (Brooklyn, Pa.) added three kills and led the team defensively with 13 digs but it was not enough to counter the potent offense of the York squad.
