Dunmore, Pa. - Hazleton dropped their second straight match on Friday night when they traveled to Penn State Scranton for the two team's final meeting of the season. A slow start put Hazleton in the hole early and despite steady improvement throughout the night, Hazleton feel in straight sets by scores of 25-9, 25-16 and 25-22. 

Hazleton fired an impressive 85 attacks at the home team Scranton in this one, but too few found their mark on the opponents' side of the floor. Despite the advantage in offensive attempts, Hazleton connected on nine kills on the evening, while Scranton picked up 17 points via the kill and added 17 service aces to come away the victors. Leading the way for Scranton was Keida McElroy with five kills on the night while Sheila Romero issued three kills and four aces. Hazleton's Savannah Bauer (San Jose, Ca.) led the team with four kills in Friday night's loss, with Alessandra Banta totaling nine assists and a team high 11 digs. 

Next up: Hazleton returns home for three games next week beginning with a Monday night non-conference matchup with Manor College at 7:00 p.m. in the Dr. Thomas M. Caccese Gymnasium.
