Jadyn Hooper Committment Adds to Penn State Hazleton Volleyball
Jayden Hooper's commitment to play for the Penn State Hazleton Nittany Lion Volleyball team is a huge addition to the program
Penn State Hazleton's Head Volleyball Coach, Noel Kaufman's 2022 recruiting class got a whole lot stronger with the commitment of Jayden Hooper. Hooper, who resides in Mountain Top, PA, recently graduated from Crestwood High School.
Jayden was a single-sport athlete at Crestwood and made the most of her volleyball career. The front-row player was a four-year varsity starter and was named Co-Captain for the Comets during her senior year. She was selected to be a part of the Wyoming Valley Conference Coaches 2nd Team All Stars and was also chosen for the Citizens Voice All Star Team. In addition to her high school team, Jayden played for Northeast Alliance in Scranton for two years, which later became Electric City. She and her team were awarded with the 2020 Girls AAU Volleyball East 16U Champions at Riverfront Sports.
"I am looking forward to Jayden's natural flow on the court and her height and talent is another huge bonus," said Had Coach Noel Kaufman of Hooper "She has that give a 110% and nothing less attitude. We’ve been lacking front row height and the power swings so she’s been a seal the deal commit on that end. We are lucky not only to have her on the roster, but she will make a significant impact as a student-athlete in the classroom." Hooper was a member of the National Honor Society all throughout high school and the French National Honor Society for one year.
Because of the time and commitment of volleyball, Jayden says that her most favorite things to do when off the court are napping! When she's not napping she loves to read, shop, watch tv and watch social media. Jayden says she genuinely has no clue what her major will be as of right now at Penn State. "I am considering a ton of different majors right now, like Psychology and Criminal Justice. During my time at PSU Hazleton, I want to challenge myself to be the best that I can be academically and athletically. I strive to find my passion as it pertains to my education and I also would like to be a leader in encouraging my teammates on and off the court"
Welcome to the Pride Jayden!
