Sydney Mack Signing to Penn State Hazleton Brings More Power to the Volleyball Program
Baltimore, MD native, Sydney Mack has signed her letter of intent to attend Penn State Hazleton to continue her academic and athletic careers as part of the Volleyball Program.
Baltimore, MD native, Sydney Mack has signed her letter of intent to attend Penn State Hazleton next year to further her educational plans and volleyball career. Her signing has increased the power of the front row for Head Coach, Noel Kaufman. Kaufman has enjoyed a very successful recruiting season and snagging Mack has been the cherry on top of a very powerful incoming class. Mack recently graduated from Enlightium Academy in Baltimore where she was a varsity player since her sophomore year. In her senior year, she was named Co-Captain and received the "Best Hitter/Attacker Award" and the "Forthright Award" from the league. In addition to playing for Enlightium, she also played club ball for FCAMDVB for two years and played with Apex Performance Volleyball during her senior year.
Mack is the daughter of Dana Kiah and Daryell Mack, has been raised by her grandmother V. Michelle Kiah. She has two brothers and three sisters at home. While Sydney is unsure of her intended major at this point, she is leaning towards Business. During both her junior and senior years of high school, she received a certificate for "Outstanding Academic Excellence" and was on the Scholar's List.
"Sydney will fit perfectly into our newly rebuilt offense next year. Her athleticism, work ethic, and personality make her a welcome addition to our program," said Head Coach, Noel Kaufman. "With the addition of Sydney, our opponents won't be able to focus on one player to have to stop - we'll be able to attack from anywhere on the court!"
When she isn't playing Volleyball, Sydney LOVES to draw and paint. Arts and crafts have been another hobby of hers since she was very young. She also like to make things such as clothes, candles, and any other thing that she can get creative with. One other thing that she like to do is spend time with her friends and family. Welcome to the Pride Sydney!
