The Hazleton Nittany Lion Volleyball team solidifies their roster with the addition of Charlotte Vinson to the 2022-23 roster. Vinson is a resident of Cherryville, Pa. who graduated this past spring from Marian Catholic High School, Hometown, PA . She is the daughter of Paula and Jim Vinson.

Vinson played middle and outside hitter during her four-year varsity career at Marian Catholic. During her tenure at Marian, the team won four PIAA District XI Championhips as well as collecting a siler medal in the PIAA State Championships. At Hazleton, she will be reunited with teammate Rebecca Dzuranin as well as Penn State Hazleton Assistant Coach and former Marian Head Coach, John "Doc" Fallabel.

"Charlotte has a great combination of intelligence, work-ethic and attitude that will help our program get to the next level," said head coach Noel Kaufman. "I'm thrilled to see her get the opportunity to continue to play collegiate volleyball while pursuing a Penn State education. She most definitely adds a great deal of depth to our roster heading into next season!"

Off the field, Charlotte is an honor roll student and is very committed to her academics. She plans to major in Psychology while at Penn State Hazleton; her goal as a student is to maintain at least a 3.5 gpa while playing Volleyball. When not playing volleyball, Charlotte loves to snow ski and hang out with friends. When asked about why he chose Penn State Hazleton over other schools and campuses, she very quickly replied, "I really just loved how the campus is on the smaller side. Volleyball really gave me just another reason to go - it was the perfect fit!"

Welcome to the Pride, Charlotte!
