Lauren Nietz joins the PSU Hazleton coaching staff just a year after completing a stellar senior season as a decorated player. In 2018, Nietz put her name in the record books earning recognition as the all-time leader at Penn State Hazleton in total digs in a single season, career digs per set average, and digs in a single match. Her efforts earned her conference honors as a PSUAC All-Conference selection and national honors as a USCAA All-American. Nietz' success as a player is a long legacy, having been part of a PIAA State Championship and a PIAA State Championship Runner-Up effort as the staring libero at Marian Catholic High School. Nietz has previouslly served as an assistant at her alma mater Marian Catholic and as the head coach of various age groups on the AAU circuit with Anthracite Volleyball Club.
