YORK, Pa. - Freshman Jordan Singletary pitched in 18 points and a career-high 16 rebounds for his second double-double in as many days, but Penn State Hazleton fell, 82-72, to Penn State York in a Penn State University Athletic Conference game on Friday night.

York, the defending conference champions, unveiled their championship banner prior to the game, with Hazleton looking to snap their long home winning streak. Freshman Jacob Solano added a game-high 20 points for the Nittany Lions, but it wasn't enough to outlast York.

Hazleton (3-3, 1-1 PSUAC) outrebounded the Lions 43-29, but lost the turnover battle. York forced 16 Hazleton mistakes and created 18 points directly off those, while only committing seven turnovers themselves. Despite shooting only 43 percent from the field, York was accurate from behind the three-point line, going 8-for-14. That accuracy paid off, as Hazleton never held a lead.

Logan Steckel led York with 16 points. Freshman Chris Woodring chipped in five assists and five rebounds for Hazleton, along with eight points.

Hazleton will head into the break before meeting up with northeastern rival Scranton at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3. The night will be highlighted by a "Meet the Coaches" session for prospective students, as well as a "White Out" for Hazleton students sponsored by the campus Blue and White Society. The first 100 Penn State Hazleton students will receive a free t-shirt.
