Hazleton, Pa. - Jerome "Rome" Warrick Jr. of Philadelphia, Pa. joins the Hazleton Nittany Lions for the 2020-21 basketball campaign. Rome is the son of Jerome Sr. and Tamika Warrick and has five siblings. He graduated from Gar-Field Senior High School in Woodbridge, Va. where he developed his skills on the court at the guard and small forward positions. Warrick was named a captain at Gar-Field during his two years with the varsity squad, helping the team to a district championship in 2019. Outside of high school, Rome continued to excel in the game of basketball with his AAU squad, the Fairfax Cowboys, and earn several championships with the team including a National Travel Basketball Association Nationals title and Zero Gravity championship.

Rome is committed to playing a major role in bringing the Nittany Lions a championship but remains focused on his academics with the university. He won't settle for anything less than a 3.5 grade point average and is eager to pursue a career in the field of Criminal Justice.
