SUGARLOAF, Pa. -- Ty Morzilla (Berwick, Pa.) fired a 9-over 81 and Penn State Hazleton took home the team title at the ninth annual Penn State Hazleton Golf Invitational at Valley Country Club. The win marks Hazleton's second consecutive team victory, cementing the Northern Division crown in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

Morzilla won for the second consecutive outing, and fourth time in five starts for the freshman. Despite struggling during the middle of the round, Morzilla regained his swing and finished one stroke ahead of Penn State DuBois' Mitchell Gilmore.

Hazleton captured the team crown by 12 strokes over DuBois, shooting 346 and placing four players in the top 10. Ryan Stashko (Berwick, Pa.) carded a season-best 85 on the Nittany Lions' home course to finish third overall, while Gary Hunt (Berwick, Pa.) finished tied for fifth at 89. Brandon Haydt (Berwick, Pa.) rounded out the team total with a 91 in eighth place. 

Hazleton returns to the links on Monday, October 13 at 9:00 a.m. when they compete in the PSUAC and USCAA Championships, events held in conjunction at the Penn State Blue Course in State College, Pa.
