Freshman catcher earns All-Tournament Team selection

DuBois, Pa. - With conclusion of play at the Small College World Series, Hazleton's freshman backstop Cassandra Passamonte (Bushkill, Pa.) was named to the All-Tournament Team in the USCAA championship event. Passamonte was one of just nine players amongst 10 elite teams named to the squad and produced all week for the Lady Lions. The freshman catcher registered hits in all four of Hazleton's games. Passamonte went 7-for-10 on the week with four runs scored an RBI and two walks. She played a major role in Hazleton's four-run, seventh inning comeback win over NHTI, going 3-for-4 in that game including a key hit and a run scored in extra innings.
