Hazleton, Pa. - On Tuesday, September 4 senior Katie Oldziejewski was named player of the week by the Penn State University Athletic Conference. Katie's dominant effort against Pratt Institute on Sunday, September 3 sealed the award for Oldziejewski, who receives the honor for the second time in her three-year career at Hazleton. 

Katie notched her fourth career hat trick against Pratt en route to a 6-1 win in the Lady Lions first game of the 2018 season. Oldziejewski knocked in an outstanding crossing shot from the right side in the first half that turned out to be the game winning score and tacked on a pair of insurance goals early in the second frame to give Hazleton a four score cushion. Overall, the senior scored on three of her five shooting attempts to notch six points on the day.
