Hazleton, PA - Head Coach Jeff Gilbert aims to build a competitive team in 2015 following a rebuilding season last fall. "We'won't practice til we get it right", says Coach Gilbert, "We'll practice til we can't get it wrong."Seeking to find a winning combination on the court, Coach Gilbert is leaning on experience and new talent to put the Lady Lions back in the win column. The team opens its season on Sept. 1 when they visit Luzerne County Community College, followed by four non-conference matchups prior to entering Penn State University Athletic Conference action.
Miranda Dunne: The setter is the last remaining starter from the Lady Lions 2013 postseason team and returns for her junior year. Dunne boasts a team high 141 assists in her two seasons at Hazleton and will once again run the offense for the Lady Lions.
Tina Beiland: Beiland's strong arm led the team in service aces in 2014 and her experience on floor should pay dividends for the Lady Lions on the defensive side of the court.
Cheyenne Comfort: The outside hitter was second on the team in attacks and a leader on the floor for the Lady Lions. Comfort led the team with 33 digs in 2015 expects to continue to turnover opponents.
