Hornsby earns PSUAC Player of the Week honors

State College, Pa. - On Tuesday afternoon it was announced that Samaya Hornsby (Richmond, Ca.) was named the Penn State University Athletic Conference Player of the Week in Women's Volleyball.

Hornsby led Penn State Hazleton to a 2-1 record last week as the team's top hitter. The sophomore racked up 12 aces on the week and averaged 7 kills per match. Hornsby converted nearly half of her attack's into scores for the Lady Lions and registered a double digit kill effort in Hazleton's win over Lehigh Valley.
