Kaytlin Kelley bolsters the Nittany Lion Attack
Hazleton, Pa. - Nittany Lion Volleyball is pleased to welcome Kaytlin Kelley from Fairmont, Wv. Kelly, a front row attacker, played high school volleyball at East Fairmont High School where she competed at the varsity level for three seasons and was named a team captain in her senior season. Kaytlin was recognized as one of the top blockers in the state of West Virginia during one week of her final seasons, paving the way for her to be named to the All-State team as an honorable mention. Kaytlin plays the sport year-round, competing with the Morgantown Volleyball Club in the offseason and also competed in the state competition as a swimmer for her high school team.
"Kaytlin is great addition to the 2023-24 roster", said Head Coach Noel Kaufman. "She can easily transition between the middle blocker position to an outside hitter and her height and agility will be an exciting dynamic to add to our front row."
Off the court, Kelley has excelled annually in the classroom. Kaytlin graduated from East Fairmont with high honors, earning her way onto the honor roll each of her four years in high school. While at Penn State, Kaytlin plans to major in psychology and eventually move on to medical school to become a psychiatrist. In the meantime, Kelley plans to mature as a competitor and take her game to the next level while obtaining her undergraduate degree.
