Directions To Baseball Field

Directions to the Baseball Field located at Drifton Softball Complex begin at the PSU Hazleton Campus

1. Turn left out of the campus onto Rte 93 South to the first traffic signal where you turn left onto Airport Beltway.

2. Proceed about 2.5 miles to the third traffic light and turn right at the Sheetz onto 309 South for about 7 tenths of a mile staying in the left lane.

3. At the first traffic light intersection (Dunkin Donuts, Turkey Hill, McDonalds) turn left and go 2 tenths of a mile to the first light.

4. Go straight across the intersection which will be Rte 940 East.

5. Follow 940 East for 4.5 mile and turn left onto Sophia Coxe Drive.

6. Go straight on Coxe Drive for 3 tenths of a mile into complex parking lot.

FROM THE NORTH: (Wilkes-Barre and Scranton)

Take Interstate 81 South to Exit 155 (Dorrance). Turn left off exit ramp and proceed 1/4 mile to stop sign. Turn right up the hill and proceed 1 mile to PA 309. Turn right onto PA 309 South. Proceed 3 miles on PA 309 South to 2nd traffic signal (Uni-Mart gas station/Mini-mart on corner). Turn left up the mountain (East Butler Drive) towards Freeland. Proceed 3 miles to the first traffic signal (you are in town of Freeland). Turn right onto PA 940 (Centre Street). Proceed 2 miles on PA 940. Turn right onto Sophia Coxe Street in Drifton. (Sophia Coxe Street is shortly after you pass Saint James Church). Proceed .2 miles on Sophia Coxe Street to the complex.

FROM THE SOUTH: (Pottsville and Harrisburg)

Take Route 61 to I 81 North towards Hazleton. Get off on the McAdoo/Route 309 Exit. Take Route 309 North into Hazleton (approximately 6 miles). Route 309 North becomes Church St. in Hazleton. Once in downtown Hazleton, you will cross over PA Route 93 (Broad Street). Proceed thru 4 traffic signals to 22nd Street (PA Rte. 940). Bear right onto PA Rte. 940 and follow signs toward Freeland. Proceed on PA Rte. 940 for about 3 miles to Drifton. You will see signs on PA Rte. 940 directing you to the Drifton Softball Complex marking a left off of PA Rte. 940. You turn onto Sophia Coxe Street in Drifton directly into the Drifton softball complex.

FROM INTERSTATE 80 (East/West):

Take exit 262 (Mountain Top/Hazleton) to PA 309 South. Proceed 3 miles on PA 309 South to 2nd traffic signal (Uni-Mart gas station/Mini-mart on corner). Turn left up the mountain (East Butler Drive) towards Freeland. Proceed 3 miles to the first traffic signal (you are in town of Freeland). Turn right onto PA 940 (Centre Street). Proceed 2 miles on PA 940. Turn right onto Sophia Coxe Street in Drifton. (Sophia Coxe Street is shortly after you pass Saint James Church). Proceed .2 miles on Sophia Coxe Street to the complex.
