SCHOLARSHIP & FINANCIAL AID INFORMATION
As a member of the Penn State University Athletic Conference and United States Collegiate Athletic Association, Penn State Hazleton offers a robust group of athletic programs. We compete in eight sports, all of which are championship-sponsored sports in the PSUAC and USCAA.
Penn State Hazleton DOES NOT offer athletic grants-in-aid, often referred to as athletic scholarships. This means that Penn State Hazleton cannot provide financial assistance based on your athletic ability.
However, Penn State Hazleton athletic recruits ARE eligible for the same scholarships, grants and financial aid that other students would be eligible for based on need or merit (merit-based scholarship criteria are generally determined by the provider of the scholarship--e.g. a scholarship may be set up for an incoming business student with a GPA over 3.0, therefore any student pursuing a business degree with a GPA over 3.0 would be eligible to be awarded the scholarship). Please note that eligibility for scholarships, grants or other types of financial aid does not guarantee you will receive that assistance.
