Colin Stauffer honored by PSUAC

State College, Pa. - Sophomore Colin Stauffer (Hazleton, Pa.) has been on a tear in recent weeks and on Tuesday, the Penn State University Athletic Conference gave the Hazleton third baseman honors as the league's top hitter week. In four games over that stretch, Stauffer reached base safely in 10 of 16 plate appearances, notching three triples, four steals and a .538 batting average. Stuaffer's wits in the box translated into seven runs scored and three RBI helping the Lions to a pair of wins in the thick of a playoff race.
For the season, Stauffer is hitting .433 at the plate which is the sixth highest batting average in the PSUAC. Stauffer has collected 18 RBI in 2019 and amassed a .733 slugging percentage.
