Penn State Hazleton Soccer
Goalkeeper
Throughout my educational career I have participated in many sports programs. It wasn't until my freshman year of high school that I realized soccer was where I had most of my talent. I decided to focus all my attention into soccer rather than a combination of other sports. After high school I found myself at Penn State Hazleton. I decided to join the soccer team and play at the collegiate level. Not knowing anybody on the team made it difficult for me to be accepted. Justin, the Athletic Trainer, was quick to introduce himself and make me feel comfortable in a new environment. As the goalkeeper, I suffered multiple injuries, including ankle sprains, a shoulder dislocation, and lower back issues. I went to the athletic training room daily for rehab and treatment. He always made time to ensure that my injuries were taken care of and that I would never miss a game. If there was anything that could've been done to keep me performing at my best, Justin would be there to work with me. This gave me and other athletes a great sense of safety and the ability to perform at our best during the season. Being a part of the Penn State Hazleton athletic community has been a very enjoyable part of my career.
