Jake Bobish teams up with Hazleton Nittany Lion Baseball

Hazleton, Pa. - Jake Bobish of Hazleton, Pa. joins the Hazleton Nittany Lion Baseball team for the 2023-24 season. Jake is a graduate from Marian Catholic High School where he spent four years on the varsity baseball team and basketball team. Bobish was part of the Colt's three-time Schuylkill League Division championships with the basketball squad and played a big role in the baseball team's District XI single A championship during his senior year. Jake served as a pitcher and infielder while at Marian Catholic, throwing a perfect game as a senior against Weatherly Area High School on his way to winning the Andy Sherkness pitching award for the Colts. In the off-season, Jake has participated on the baseball diamond with the Stars and Strikes, Baseball U Anthracite and the Northeastern Expos club teams.

Jake is thrilled for the opportunity to continue his baseball career and is looking forward to helping the Nittany Lions challenge for a championship in the spring of 2024. While at Penn State, Bobish plans to major in Criminal Justice and pursue a career in law enforcement.
