Jordan Singletary named All-American by the USCAA
Farmington, Pa. - Sophomore Jordan Singletary (Houston, Tx.) was named honorable mention All-American by the United States Collegiate Athletic Association for his play during the 2015-16 basketball season.
The Nittany Lions top big man made his biggest impact on voters with his tremendous rebounding and shot blocking ability. Singletary ranked second in the country in both categories, tallying 13.7 rebounds, while blocking 2.6 shots per game, both good for the top spot in the Penn State University Athletic Conference. In addition to his defensive work, the forward scored 14.1 points a game to average a double-double for the season, earning 17 such performances in the process.
Singletary had a number of stellar performances in 2015-16, but perhaps his most impressive effort came against Penn State DuBois on December 5, 2015. The sophomore grabbed 24 rebounds including 11 on the offensive end and went 9-15 from the field to total 21 points on the night.
