Hazleton Soccer welcomes local graduate Angelo Paniagua
Hazleton, Pa. - Angelo Paniagua is continuing his athletic and educational career in the Hazleton Area as the Hazleton High School graduate signs on to compete with the Nittany Lion Soccer team while pursuing Undergraduate Studies at the campus. Paniagua played two years at the varsity level for the Cougars, helping the high school squad to a District II championship in 2021-22 and a Wyoming Valley Conference Championship during his senior year in uniform. As a forward and wingman for the Cougars, Angelo was twice named to the Wyoming Valley Conference All-Star Team and is eager to hit the pitch this season for the Hazleton Nittany Lions. Paniagua is bringing the best version of himself to the roster to help lead Hazleton back to the Penn State University Athletic Conference playoffs for the first time since 2017-18 season.
