Anthony Chaikalis joins Nittany Lion Soccer
Hazleton, Pa. - Anthony Chaikalis is ready to hit the pitch for the Hazleton Nittany Lions this fall. Chaikalis played three seasons as a mid-fielder at Marian Catholic High School in Tamaqua, Pa. where he was part of the inaugural team and a part of the team's first win in program history. In addition to his tenure with the soccer program at Marian, Anthony ran track for four seasons and earned the "Anchor Award" for his role in the 4 x 800 meter relay race and was issued the "Heart and Determination" Award by his coaching staff.
Coach Mikael Stephensson remarked, "Anthony has great enthusiasm for the game of soccer and we are excited to have him on the 2024 roster. We'll look to see him make an impact on our mid-field play and be a positive contributor to the program this season."
Off the pitch, Anthony enjoys just about any sport he can get involved with and loves spending time with his family and friends. While attending Penn State, Anthony plans on pursuing an accounting degree and wants to push himself to be at his very best, both in the classroom and on the soccer field.
