Alexis Marotto signs on with Penn State Hazleton Women's Soccer
Hazleton, Pa. - Penn State Hazleton Women's Soccer is pleased to introduce Alexis Marotto from Albrightsville, Pa. to the 2023-24 roster. Marotto, a recent graduate from Jim Thorpe Area High School, plays at the mid-field and forward positions on the soccer pitch and is ready to add her talents to the Nittany Lion squad. Alex played four years at the varsity level, helping the Olympians to a Schuylkill League championship in the fall of 2022. There Marotto scored the game winning goal in a 1-0 win over Pottsville Area High School, part of 14 goal, 19 assist season for Marotto.
In addition to her time with the Olympians, Alex also competed for the Keystone Athletics and Carbon United travel soccer teams and is involved with the Jim Thorpe youth soccer program where she enjoys coaching and officiating for young players. While at Hazleton, Marotto will be majoring in Medical Laboratory Technology and is looking to be excel in the classroom while continuing to play the sport that she loves.
