Wilkes-Barre completes season sweep of Women's Volleyball

LEHMAN, Pa. -- Penn State Hazleton dropped their second match of the year to Penn State Wilkes-Barre, as the Nittany Lions fell 3-0 (17-25, 19-25, 12-25) in a Penn State University Athletic Conference women's volleyball match on Tuesday night. 

Tina Beiland (Philadelphia, Pa.) notched a match-high 18 digs, and added two kills and an ace for the Nittany Lions (1-12, 1-9 PSUAC). Miranda Dunne (Montrose, Pa.) added nine digs and an assist for Hazleton.

Wilkes-Barre completes the season sweep of Hazleton following their 3-0 win on September 18. The loss is the ninth straight for the struggling Nittany Lions. Hazleton returns to action on Saturday, October 4 in a quad match at Penn State Brandywine. In the 2:00 p.m. game, Hazleton squares off with winless Penn State Schuylkill before meeting host Brandywine at 4:00 p.m.
