Mack notches 600th kill as Hazleton tops Scranton
Hazleton, Pa. - The Nittany Lions women's volleyball squad topped Penn State Scranton in straight sets on Thursday night, moving to 6-5 overall on the season and 3-1 in PSUAC play. Leading the way was third year player Sydney Mack who cracked the 600 kill mark with her game-high 15 kills.
Hazleton cruised to the win on Thursday as the Scranton squad struggled to handle the service attack from Hazleton. The Lions totaled 19 aces on the night including a team-high six aces from second year player Nayiara Rodriguez-Maldonado, five aces from second year player Nora Jones and four from first year player Claire Riera-Gomez. Del Vacchio finished the night with 23 assists in total.
